ROOM PARENTS: Roles and Responsibilities

​

• Prepares monthly parent helper schedule for their session ensuring a fair distribution of days worked

• Works with parents in session regarding scheduling (birthdays, special requirements) but not responsible to make alternate arrangements after schedule is produced

• Coordinates and provides information to other parents in session regarding special events (birthdays, Christmas, field trips, fundraisers, teas)

• Attends board meetings as required

• Coordinates other activities as requested by parents in session where appropriate

**All positions are responsible to ensure that meetings progress smoothly by arriving prepared and on time, listening attentively to the views of others, and actively participating in decisions. The chair person is to be advised in advance if meetings cannot be attended.
